What's the difference between a perfume and a perfume oil?
Typically, perfumes (eau de parfum and eau de toilette) contain approximately 80% alcohol. This alcohol content is what makes fragrances so strong and overpowering and, combined with harsh chemicals, has been linked to asthma, allergies, cancer and other diseases. Also, because alcohol evaporates quickly, so does your scent.
Perfume oils contain 0% alcohol. They are a 100% blend of essential and non-essentials oils and do not contain some of the nasty fillers found in your average perfumes. Moreover, the scent does not disappear easily. This makes perfume oils not only great for you but also for those with perfume/fragrance sensitivities.
